Natural Remedies to Get Rid of Wrinkles Around the Eyes

There are a number of natural ingredients that can be used to treat wrinkles around the eyes.
A few of them will be discussed below:

There is an active enzyme known as bromelain in pineapple juice, which is a natural anti-inflammatory agent and a wrinkle treatment in the form of alpha hydroxy acid. Take some pineapple juice and apply on the eye wrinkles. This wonder fruit also contains some astringent properties that can help to exfoliate the skin.
Apply the juice for 20 minutes before washing off. This can help to treat existing wrinkles and help to prevent ones from developing. It also has been shown to reduce wrinkles and fine lines – especially the ones under the eyes.

Rosemary in the form of essential oil can be used to protect and nourish the skin. It can help to prevent wrinkles under the eyes.
Apply Rosemary oil under the eyes every day for a few minutes. Massage gently in a light upward motion. This can help to even wrinkles and fine lines while preventing further ones from appearing.

This vegetable can help to make up for the lack of moisture in the skin which will cause it to crack. In delicate areas this occurs more rapidly (such as under the eyes). Cucumber slices used in this area in particular can help to prevent dark circles and wrinkles from appearing.
Prepare cucumber slices ahead of time and place in the refrigerator to keep them cool. They can then be used right away. Apply daily and leave on desired areas for 15 minutes.

Ginger and Honey
When combined these 2 ingredients make an excellent preventative measure. Honey helps to maintain moisture and ginger promotes blood circulation to the affected area.
Mix one teaspoon of ginger into a half a teaspoon of honey and gently massage this mixture under the eyes for 10 minutes each day. Leave the paste on for 60 minutes before washing off.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil contains fats that can prevent wrinkles and nourish at the same time. There are many nutrients that will keep the skin healthy and soft.
Gently massage virgin coconut oil into the skin under the eyes and allow to work for approximately 10 minutes. For added benefit, apply some at night and let it work overnight for soft and supple skin.

Olive Oil
Virgin olive oil is another substance that can be used to retain the skin’s natural moisture. It can be used as a deep moisturizer to keep the skin free from wrinkles.
Warm the olive oil before applying it under the eyes. Use your index finger to massage it in and allow to penetrate into the skin. It can even be applied and left on overnight for added benefit.

A fruit that is high in fat and good for wrinkles. These make a great treatment for under the eyes.
Simply slice an avocado and apply on the eyes, being sure to cover the areas that need attention. It can also be used as a paste and applied the same way. The slices should be left on for 15 minutes to allow the natural moisturizers to work their magic. When using the paste, it can be applied and left on the area for 20 minutes. Carefully rinse to show off wrinkle free skin.

Rose Water
A great natural agent is rosemary as it helps to tone and tighten skin, treating wrinkles and preventing the skin from loosening.
Application is rather simple. Simply dab under the eyes or other affected areas and allow to air dry. This practice should be done twice a day to not only treat existing wrinkles but also to prevent more from forming.

Egg Whites
Egg whites can also be applied to tighten the skin and reduce wrinkles. They are also a preventative agent to keep skin in good firm tone.
Apply some egg whites to the most affected area and leave on until the area begins to dry and the skin starts to “pull.” The egg white should be washed off at this point as it might exacerbate the problem, leading to loose skin and bags under the eyes.
